Day 01

On the first day after your arrival at the Colombo International Airport you will be transferred to Negombo for relaxing in a beach side hotel after a long flight. If you feeling fit. You could catch a glimpse of city’s colonial heritage and participate in a lagoon tour of Negombo’s famous Lagoon. You will stay the night in a beach side hotel in Negombo.

Day 02

On day two you will travel from Negombo to Sigiriya Habarana via Pinnawala Elephant orphanage which is a famous institute to watch orphaned elephants. Then on your way to Girithale, you will also be able to climb this wonderful Dambulla Cave Temple which adds to the splendorous history of the island. If you get there late in the afternoon avoiding mid-day heat. You will stay the night in Girithale.

Day 03

You will do a day excursion to Anuradhapura old city (1st Capital & kingdom of Sri Lanka) where the travel time is around 2 to 2.5 hrs. Once there you will visit the ancient holy sites of Sri Maha Bodhi tree, ruwanweliseya, Jethawanaramaya, Samadhi Buddha statue, Isurumuniya and many more. Once this is finished if timer permits you have the option to visit Mihintale rock temple as well.You will come back to spend the night in the same hotel in Giritale.

Day 04

To begin your day, you will travel to Polonnaruwa archeological site in the morning, this modest town was the second capital of Sri Lanka after Anuradhapura. You can explore this ancient city with a bicycle ride, after having lunch in Polonnaruwa you will participate in an Elephant game driver in Minneriya to see the majestic elephants of this area to observe them at their natural habitat. You will spend the night in Giritale/ Minneriya again.

Day 05

You will climb the Sigiriya rock fortress in the morning. Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high. Then you will be taken to Pidurangala monastery which is adjacent to Sigiriya and you can have a spectacular sight of the Sigiriya rock fortress which is an iconic sight in Sri Lanka. It is a unique rock itself that offers many stunning views, you will climb and watch the sun set in the late afternoon. You will again spend the night in Sigiriya.

Day 06

After a restful morning, you will travel to Kandy which is situated in the green central high hills of Sri Lanka, which is also the last capital of Sri Lanka. En route You will be visiting an herbal/spice garden and Nalanda gedige. You will visit the famous Temple of Tooth in the evening and reside in a hotel in Kandy where you’d be take a well-deserved rest in the serene and lush green of the hills.

Day 07

Hiking knuckles range is one option for this day. Knuckles is a bio diversity hot spot and an UNESCO world heritage site which consists of many waterfalls and mist ridden mountain peaks. You can participate in a 3 to 4-hour hike in this World Heritage site to catch many breath taking views or a visit to Kandy botanical garden and 3 temples of Gadaladeniya Embakka and lankathilakaya can be arranged. Night will be spent in Kandy.

Day 08

On this day after breakfast you will visit Kandy local market for doing some exploring about local food culture and to identify local fruits, spices and vegetables. After exploring the market, you will travel to town of Kitulgala to engage in white water rafting. After having lunch in kithulgala you will depart to Nuwara Eliya, passing few of the well-known water falls of Sri Lanka such as Devon and St Claire. This night will be spent in Nuwara Eliya (little England) which is the highest municipality in Sri Lanka and known to house Colonial English style architecture.

Day 09

Early morning visit to World’s end and Horton Plains National Park is the first action of the day and you will have the chance to walk on this national park amidst lush streams and sheer cliffs. This is the highest NP in Sri Lanka and has a sheer drop called world’s end by locals. After visiting the park, you will take an afternoon train ride to Ella which is considered to be one of the best rides in the world which demonstrate the true natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Night will be spent in Ella which is known to have some of the best pubs/restaurants in the island. You could explore the restaurant and bar scene in Ella during the night.

Day 10

Early in the morning of this day you will climb Little Adam’s peak and visit Demodara railway loop and famous nine arches’ bridge in the afternoon to round up the day. Once these are covered remaining hours will be spent resting. You could also take the flying Ravana Zip line if you wish to do so (Optional Activity). Night stay in Ella again.

Day 11

After breakfast you will depart to Yala NP. Once there you will participate in a safari, Yala is one of the hot spots to spot the Asiatic Sri Lankan Leopard and many more wildlife in the island nation. Once there during your Safari you will have an experience of a life time which will stay with you for a long time. Animals can be spotted: Leopard, Elephant, Deer, Sloth bear, Crocodile and many varieties of birds. Night will be on a Hotel near Yala NP.

Day 12

On the morning of the 12th day in to your tour you will have a safari early in the morning to explore the jungles and again spot a variety of wild life exist in the park of Yala again. Safari hours 0600 hrs. to 0930 hrs. After the safari you will depart to a beach resort in the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

Day 13

Primary focus of this day is to have a relaxing beach stay around the classic city of Galle. You also have the option to make a visit to the Ancient fort of Galle to have a lazy stroll and to see the breathtaking sunset of the southern island.

Day 14

You will be spending a relaxing day at the beach indulging in all the comforts your hotel has to offer you and enjoying the blue stretch of beach.

Travel to airport for departure
